We’re working on our review again – so we will be reaching back. For homework, work on basic greetings, and prepare to collect basic information from others (how old are you? Are you a student? etc.) We’ll be playing a game collecting information – so you will want to know this well.
Also work on colors and numbers, and basic pronouns.
Other review items, if we have time, will be seasons and months, telling time, etc. You do not have to prepare for these items.
Things are winding down, I hope that your Russian has improved as a result of this class.
Sorry Class, I need to cancel the Russian class today. Class will resume next week as scheduled.
Sorry class, I am going to have to cancel the class today due to unforeseen circumstances. Classes will resume next week as scheduled.
We’re going to continue with the lesson that we began last week, and I’m planning on some activities to cement the grammar forms that we have been studying.
The only homework assignment is the transliteration project (Russian Cyrillic to English Script) that I gave you at the end of last week’s class. Please be sure to do your homework. Thanks, and see you in class.
Due to a few factors, including the weather and several who are ill, the class today is canceled.
Get better (if you are ill) and stay dry (if you are well), and see you next week.
Once again, I failed to post the homework. I do not feel that bad about it, since I very clearly explained all of the homework assignments in the class. But should you want to do last minute work, the assignments were to:
1. Prepare for the game (which means study the verses well). So far we have studied these verses:
2. Memorize how to say, “I am cold” and “He is bored” etc. from the grammar drill that we did in class.
Blessings and see you in class.
Mike Johnson
There will be a class tomorrow. Don’t worry about the homework, just study the verses.
Hello class,
There WILL be a class on February 18th. The homework assignments are:
1. Memorize the 12 months of the year (yes, in Russian).
2. Memorize the 4 seasons of the year (also preferably in the Russian language).
For reference on the months and seasons, look at lesson 10.
Blessings,
Mike Johnson
Yes, there will be class. It is not too cold because this is Russian class, not Spanish and where people speak Russian it is usually cold. So bring a jacket.
The only homework was to review all verses so that you can say them correctly by memory. The final verse was 1 John 3.1.
There will be class today. My apologies for not updating the homework page. The assignments are to catch up on previous assignments (if needed), and to review the Bible verses.
Here’s what I have planned today:
- We will review the verses and add one more.
- We will study the days of the week and seasons of the year.
- Then we will play a good friendly competitive round of Russian Pictionary.
See you there.
